About The Grants Management Department
The Grants Management Department negotiates, executes and implements grants policies. It also coordinates various grant activities on behalf of the Institute. The department manages all sub-awards including donor/grantee-grantee/partner relationships by creating, executing and managing the pre & post-award activities within a grant cycle. A typical grants cycle consists of planning, submission, selection, award, award administration reporting activities and closeout.
The department searches for donor countries and agencies for possible funding opportunities, and partnerships in the provision of treatment, care and support of HIV/AIDS, malaria, tuberculosis, cancer, and other communicable and non-communicable diseases of public health importance.
We also coordinate grant application submission, contract proposals, development of proposal budgets and budget justifications to back up the grant application. For reference purposes, the department maintains a repository of Notices of Award, Letters of Agreements, Sub-Contract Agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MOU) and all other grant award records.
We have managed over 20 grants from various donors and we are well positioned to accommodate more grants.
